Partnerships with Careered

Stanford Energy Club routinely partners with Stanford’s student career education hub, hosting roundtables and discussions with alumni and industry representatives to give students a unique insight into energy careers and opportunities for internships or jobs with hosted companies.

Other Events

Stanford Energy Club is a firm believer that education does not stop with the classroom. Many of SEC’s events are held primarily for the purpose of informing attendees about specific issues, sectors, opportunities, or research. Here is a running of events SEC currently hosts:

Stanford Cleantech Challenge

The Cleantech Challenge is Stanford's annual clean energy hackathon each spring. Cutting-edge companies from various areas of the clean energy space pose compelling, real-world challenges to teams of students. Cleantech hackers have 7 days to collaborate and develop a creative, innovative solution proposal. Moved to a virtual format since 2019, the challenge is now accessible to all university students across the world!  Challenges draw from a wide variety of disciplines, including engineering, finance and policy (this is not the traditional computer science hackathon!)

CLIMATE WARRIORS

Climate warriors is a speaker series open to all students.

Industry Lunches

SEC often invites high-level industry leaders to talk about the innovations and opportunities their company offers, as well as such company’s existing or growing connection to Stanford and SEC. These events offer a high level of interaction with energy industry leaders, making for an amazing meal experience!

Energy & Chill

Usually held once a quarter, Stanford Energy Club invites both officers and the campus community to an informal dinner to get to know each other with pizza, beer, energy-related discussions, or casual conversation.
