CO-PRESIDENT

Griffin is a senior studying Chemical Engineering and Materials Science. While he is always eager to learn about new ways to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions in our energy systems and beyond, he is especially interested in batteries and other energy storage technologies. In his free time, Griffin enjoys running on campus and surfing.

ROHAN parekh
co-president

Rohan is a first-year Master’s student in Materials Science and Engineering. Rohan is a big battery and polymer enthusiast who is working in Matteo Cargnello Lab as a Research Assistant. He is also beginning work on highly cyclable Li-S batteries in Yi Cui group. In his free time he loves to lift weights, play volleyball, and any and every racquet sport. Rohan will be joining Tesla as a Cell Engineer this summer.

David MAEMOTO
CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF PROJECTS

David is a sophomore studying Computer Science and Math. Inspired by working with Stanford’s Energy Division to reduce our campus carbon footprint, David likes to explore the intersection of data science and energy optimization as his passion grows within the battery and solar technology spaces. In his spare time, he’s a coffee enthusiast who loves playing basketball and golf.

 

APOLLO LEE
CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF EVENTS

Apollo is a junior studying Electrical Engineering. He is interested in using computational methods to solve problems in energy, especially those relating to nuclear fusion. As an undergraduate researcher at the Stanford Plasma Physics Lab, he is studying the properties and applications of laser-induced plasmas. In his free time, Apollo is learning how to DJ and enjoys surfing, hiking, and lifting weights.

 
 

JUSTIN LEONG
VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Justin is a freshman studying computer science and earth systems. As an avid conservationist, he enjoys blending his passion for the environment and data, currently working at Stanford’s Mineral-X to optimize mineral supply chains for the energy transition. In his free time, he loves to take wildlife photos, make smoothies, and play basketball.

Marco sie
CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF PROJECTS

Marco is a junior studying Electrical Engineering and Economics. Being from the tropical country of Indonesia, he cares especially about working with renewables and developing solar grid infrastructure in developing countries. In his free time, Marco enjoys reading books, practicing Muay Thai and scrolling Wikipedia.

 

MARY LEE
CO-VICE PRESIDENT OF EVENTS

Mary is a sophomore studying Earth Systems and Economics. She is super passionate about international environmental development and just energy transitions. Within the energy space, she has worked with the EPA and Senate to develop efficient energy strategies in California and climate-resilient infrastructures for EJ communities. Her interests in international development have included working with Costa Rica to develop green micro enterprises in rural communities, and serving as an advisor to the Indonesian Ministry to develop a sustainable Blue Foods Plan. In her free time, she loves fashion design, hiking, traveling and golfing! 

 

AVNI VATS
VICE PRESIDENT OF DIGITAL & BRAND

Avni is a sophomore studying engineering physics with concentrations in computational science and renewable energy. She’s passionate about all things energy - her interests range from novel materials for energy efficient computing to hardware specifically designed for AI operations to affordable, accessible alternative energy. She’s from Mumbai, India and she loves to spend time outdoors, run, and drink matcha.
